2008 Election: how to attractive the young voter

They have come to my house, through my mailbox and between my favorite television shows…advertisements for the 2008 Presidential candidates. But my mailbox is something I don’t do to too often and I have conditioned myself to ignore commericals so what is a better way to reach an audience made of up people like me?

I found a blog post about social networking as it related to the election:

“Whether we talk about the general, all-encompassing social emporiums of MySpace and Facebook or more specific cloud-based gathering grounds among the likes of My.BarackObama.com, we can all recognize collectively that modern social frameworks on the Web are remarkably efficient platforms and means with/by which messages can be relayed”

Not only is it campaign driven advertising on the web but it’s also the facebook groups, the event invitations for a debate, the profile pictures…they are everywhere

Traditional advertising is going out. How many print ads in a magazine do you actually stop to look at? How many commercials do you watch and take in what it was actually selling vs. the plot of the commercial. The world is adapting to it’s future, interative digital marketing
