I can’t believe Facebook hasn’t come up with this yet. I mean they have come up with things like daily gifts, vampire ninja games and bumper stickers, but they haven’t come up with something so basic that I feel like many of us heart broken or pissed off ex-girlfriends and ex-boyfriends want.

So let’s say I break up with a guy and it may or may not be hard for me to see his information show up on my news feed or have him appear in my updated friends list. BUT I don’t want to defriend him because there might come a day where I won’t mind that anymore.

I can block other people from seeing my profile but what I WANT is for me to block myself from seeing his or from his information to show up in any of my stuff. The ex-boyfriend would never have to know because I still show up in his news feeds, therefore he has no indication that I’ve altered anything.

So right now, I have no options other than to defriend and with that comes a lot of awkwarness, like the realization that you’ve been defriended…believe me that’s awkward.

Figure it out facebook…because you definitely have spent enough time coming up with crap that isn’t useful, I think you can take the 5 minutes it would take you to handle this
